- Life and career
After college, he made his way to Los Angeles to Hans Zimmer’s studio where he began his tenure with composer Steve Jablonsky (Transformers series, Battleship). Schlosser had the opportunity to work on many projects such as Desperate Housewives, Friday The 13th, Transfromers 3 and Gears of War 2 and 3.
Pieter was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala to a polyglot family (Spanish, German, English, Dutch). He began music lessons as a child when his family moved to Vienna, Austria. He played piano and sang in several choirs. After moving to Panama, he picked up the saxophone which has become his primary instrument. He continued studying sax and teaching himself composition in Costa Rica and had a chance to work with Latin Grammy Winning recipient 'Éditus'. Later, Pieter attended the Berklee College of Music In Boston majoring in both Music Production and Engineering as well as Film Scoring.After college, Pieter moved to Los Angeles where he started working at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions and soon started a collaboration with Steve Jablonsky which lasted for 5 years. He got a chance to write for projects such as Desperate Housewives, the Transformers film series and video games like Gears of War 2 & 3 among others.
He will be scoring the 2nd season of ABC Family hit The Lying Game based on the series of books by Sarah Shepard as well as Lifetime's new hit series The Client List. Pieter brings his multicultural background to bare in his writing. He works out of his studio in West Hills, CA.
